Scouts BSA Troop 125 is chartered by Meizon Church in Gainesville, Florida. We have been operating in Gainesville, FL for over 20 years.
Youth Leadership Development
This is a youth-led troop! We emphasize the patrol method. We have a large portion of our scouts regularly serving in roles where they can develop their leadership skills.
Outdoor Program
We have a weekend outdoor adventure every month. Our weekend campouts offer a variety of activities including backpacking, fishing, canoeing, & kayaking, and mountain biking. We take scouts to a BSA summer camp program every summer. The scouts research and choose a new summer camp (usually outside of Florida) each year. We also go to one High Adventure scouting program every summer - rotating between Sea Base, Philmont, Northern Tier, and the National Jamboree.
Troop 125 meets on Monday nights from 7:30 - 9:00 PM at the Meizon Church in Gainesville, Florida. However, on certain days we may meet at 7pm due to an event or such. You may want to get in touch with one of our leaders before your first meeting. We meet at 3411 NW 83 St, Gainesville, FL 32606, USA.
Committee Meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:30 - 8:30 PM and occur via Zoom. The Committee is made up of parent volunteers. All adults are encouraged to attend the Committee Meetings.
